Louisa Rutten is a master student at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology. She completed her bachelor at the same institute in 2015, with a thesis on resistance through the artistic use of blood, and simultaneously received an Honours Certificate.
As a voluntary assistant at the Museon, Museum for Science and Culture in the Hague, Louisa Rutten worked at an interactive exhibition that aims to introduce children to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (opened October 2016).
Louisa Rutten is currently working on her master research project about performance and identity formation in Aruban carnival. As a visual ethnography student, she will combine text with audiovisual output for her master thesis.
